Stone Quarry Hill Art Park, a 104 acre Art Park and nature preserve in Cazenovia NY. Residencies are open to all visual artists, writers, and poets, at least 21 years of age either emerging or  established in their careers, interested in creating works relating to The Art Park’s Art in the Landscape theme.

Proposals should outline the artist's plans. Some examples of past works at the Art Park include site specific installations of ethereal, temporary, or permanent nature. The committee will be looking for proposals that will benefit the artist's development, as well as providing interesting works for park visitors to view. No category of creative endeavor is favored or excluded.

Residencies at The Art Park average 2 to 4 weeks, but can be longer if necessary. The Artist’s Lodge was built in 1996 and can accommodate up to 4 individual artists at a time with private bedrooms, shared bathroom, kitchen, washer and dryer, common rooms and internet access. Artists also have access to the Hilltop House Library which has an extensive collection of art and architectural books. There are several work spaces and some power tools but no private studios. Every effort is made to provide for individual artist's work requirements.

Periodic, informal public receptions take place so that the community and artists can interact and artists are encouraged to give artist’s talks. The Winner Gallery, the Hilltop House Library and of course the Art Park's grounds are available exhibition spaces.

Residency at the artist’s lodge is free; artists provide their own food, materials and transportation. The Art Park is open 365 days a year and residencies are available spring, summer and fall.

There is a $35.00 application fee that includes a one year membership to The Art Park.
Applicants are encouraged to study The Art Park website in order to understand The Art Park’s mission and the resources available.

The Art Park is 1 mile east of Cazenovia in Central New York State, approximately 45 minutes from Syracuse NY and 4 hours from New York City.

At this time The Art Park is not providing stipends or other financial assistance to visiting artists.
