Spring Transitions

At its January meeting, the Art Park’s Board of Directors elected John Hunt as President, to replace Steve Sinkoff, whose three year term has expired.  Steve has been a member of the board since 2008 and was elected President in 2009.  “We owe much to Steve for revitalizing the Art Park as it celebrated its 20th Anniversary.  His energy and contribution are much appreciated, “ said Hunt, on taking office.  Steve will remain as a Director on the Board thru 2014.

John Hunt announced today that Joe Scala, Executive Director, has advised of his intentions to retire, effective April 1st.  “We were sorry to learn of Joe’s plans, and wish him well in his well-earned retirement,” said Hunt. “Joe’s leadership over the past three years has brought renewed recognition to the Art Park.”  Sarah Webster, Office Manager of the Art Park, has assumed the position of Director and will work with Joe over the next month to ensure a smooth transition.  “Sarah’s passion for the Art Park, as a unique community resource, will build on the progress Joe achieved, and further establish the Art Park as Central New York’s showcase for Experiencing Art in Nature,” continued Hunt.  “We look forward to another great year ahead.”
